Date Night Best of ShowI grew up on a farm near Parma, Idaho and in the late 1970's moved to Southern California where my husband and I continue to live today.  In 1996 we bought a small ranch near West Yellowstone, Montana where we spend the summer months each year.

I have always loved to paint! I love to paint almost anything, whether it's landscape, floral or portrait/figurative works. It's all a great experience for me.

Almost all of my landscapes are painted in Montana where I can get outside in one of the most beautiful places on earth. I never tire of painting in the mountains, alongside rivers or under that very big sky! And there's nothing like dodging wildlife while trying to keep the bugs out of the wet paint.

Most of the still life paintings and portraits are done in Valencia, California where I feel more compelled to paint in the studio in a more controlled environment. There's nothing nicer than a day in the studio painting with my grandchildren.

Because I love so many different types of painting I'm constantly seeking other like minded artists to study with and learn from. Over the years I have been fortunate to study with Miguel Ramirez, Richard Mc Daniel, Ned Muller, Skip Whitcomb, Susan Blackwood, Ralph Oberg, John Potter, Matt Smith and Aaron Schuerr. All Professional and talented painters and wonderful teachers. I'm truly grateful for their guidance and instruction.

I am a member of the Montana Institute of the Arts in Bozeman. All summer and fall I enjoy painting with this happy and gifted group of painters. We have had many happy days together painting in the sunshine and the occasional rain.

This past year some of my paintings have been reproduced on note cards. What fun! It has opened up a whole new "art form" for me and my "friends" series of cards has been a big hit. I find myself now really having to hustle to keep up with the orders!

Thank you for visiting my website. If you have any questions regarding the paintings or the note cards please do not hesitate to contact me.
